WHAT IS TEER..?

Teer is a traditional archery-based lottery game deeply rooted in the culture of North East India. Unlike conventional lotteries, Teer combines the skill of archery with the excitement of number prediction, creating a unique blend of sport and chance.The game is played attracting thousands of participants and spectators every day.

A BRIEF HISTORY

Teer originated as a local archery sport among the tribes of North East India. Over the years, it evolved into an regulated lottery number prediction game from 0 to 99. Today, many people participate the game which not only entertains but also supports the livelihood of many locals through ticket sales and tourism.

HOW THE GAME WORKS

1. Two Rounds of Archery

   • First Round: Usually starts around 3:15 PM

   • Second Round: Usually starts around 4:30 PM

2. The Target – Skilled archers shoot arrows at a fixed circular target from a set distance.

3. Counting Arrows – Officials count the total number of arrows that hit the target.

4. Winning Number – The last two digits of the total arrows hitting the target form the result for each round.

Example:
If 756 arrows hit in the first round, the winning number is 56.
